Since 2006, I’ve worked with students and families to build confidence, improve understanding, and make science feel a little less overwhelming—and a lot more meaningful.

I tutor biology, chemistry, and algebra-based physics, with a focus on high school and AP-level support (including AP Physics 1 and 2). Whether the goal is to strengthen grades, prepare for an AP exam, or keep up in a fast-paced class, I tailor each session to the student—how they think, where they’re stuck, and what they’re working toward.

My tutoring philosophy is simple: real learning happens when students feel safe enough to take intellectual risks. I aim to build trust first. Once that’s in place, I guide students in working through challenges by modeling my own thinking and encouraging them to share theirs. Together, we turn confusion into clarity—not by memorizing steps, but by making sense of the ideas underneath. That’s how learning sticks.

Over the years, I’ve taught in both public and independent schools, served as a STEM consultant, coached cross country and fencing, and helped launch two new upper school science programs. But tutoring remains one of the most rewarding parts of my work. My goal in every session is the same: to support, challenge, and empower each student—on their own terms.

Most in-person tutoring takes place in Darien, Greenwich, New Canaan, Westport, and Wilton. I also offer flexible, high-impact online tutoring for students anywhere.
